Arcata Marsh Interpretive Center

The Arcata Marsh Interpretive Center is the visitor center for the 307-acre Arcata Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary on the Pacific Flyway, operated by the Friends of the Arcata Marsh (FOAM) in partnership with the City of Arcata. It features interactive exhibits on the innovative wastewater treatment wetlands, local wildlife and plants, plus free trail maps, a bookstore, bird checklists and recent sightings log. Volunteer docents lead weekly tours and education programs for schools and community groups, and the Center loans binoculars and beach wheelchairs to visitors.
