What you get, free
Everything you already do here becomes part of your site: your upcoming shows, menus, photo gallery, tour dates, articles, opening hours and social links. Add a show on Humboldt Events and it appears on your site by itself — no double entry, ever.
Start from a layout and style it yourself — colors, type and mood — or describe what you want to the AI designer and keep the result you like. Change it as often as you like; nothing is permanent.
Your site comes with a free address on one of our domains, or point a domain you already own at it. Change your mind whenever you like.
You will pick your own name — like yourname.hum.band — when you build the site.
More domains are being added — the list grows, your address stays yours.

They pay for the hosting, the development and the work that brings the best local events to the community — and every sponsored artist and venue makes the whole calendar better for everyone. Not an artist or a venue? You can support the calendar directly with a personal supporter membership.

Artist is for acts; Business is for venues, shops and services, and gets more development time, a bigger AI allowance and higher priority because they ask more of the site. Sponsorship is not a bigger plan — it is us building with you. You get development time, a fully custom website (no templates, not generated) on your own domain and our hosting, and the tools to look after it yourself. Is the free website really free?
Yes. No card, no trial, nothing to cancel, and no advertising on your site. It lives on our hosting and reads the data on your Humboldt Events profile. It carries a small "Hosted by Humboldt Events" line in the footer — sponsors can turn that off.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. A free site can take an address on any domain we offer (hum.band, ishum.fyi, hmbt.onl) or use one you already own. We show you the two records to add and check them for you, so you are never guessing.
Can I keep editing my site myself?
Free sites: yes, always — the builder and the AI design tools are yours for as long as you have the site. Sponsored sites: you keep the same builder and AI tools, and a sponsorship adds SFTP access and a web file manager, so you (or a developer you hire) can work on the site's files directly. Small changes we make for you come out of your included development time.
What happens to my free site if I become a sponsor?
Nothing is thrown away. We build the custom site starting from the free one, or from scratch if you prefer, and your old address keeps sending people to the new one.
How do I start a sponsorship?
Pick a tier and pay for it in your dashboard — setup is automatic and we are alerted to begin. We will then talk with you about what you want built. If you would rather talk first, contact us.
What if I need more development time later?
Buy it in blocks ($19.99 once for 4 hours, $69.99 once for 16, $229.99 once for 64) and it is added to your balance straight away. You can see what is left, and what has been used, in your dashboard.
