Wax Carving for Sand Casting Workshop

Beginner-friendly wax carving workshop with Tova Lund at Phosphene. Learn to cut and carve wax into simple forms well suited for sand casting, focusing on designs that cast successfully while exploring the unique textures and organic qualities of sand casting. Carve a small pendant or simple ring to gain skills and confidence for future sand castings at home or in a future Sand Casting course. Materials included; limited to 4 participants. Ages 18+. Studio safety requirements: liability waiver, closed-toed shoes, eye protection/splash goggles, tie back hair, secure loose clothing. Sept 17, 5-8 p.m. at 610 F St, Eureka.
