How our contests work
Free to enter, always
Every chance-based draw has a free way in: create a free account and enter each day. Buying a ticket can add an entry, but a purchase never improves your odds — the free entry carries the same chance to win. This is the law in California, and it is how we want it anyway.
Two kinds of contest
Chance drawings (sweepstakes) pick winners at random from every entry. Judged contests ask you to make something — a photo, a piece of writing — and winners are chosen on skill by a panel.
More entries, by doing things
Alongside your free daily entry you can earn one extra entry per action per day — mark yourself going to an event, share a contest, finish your profile. Each action counts once a day, so nobody can farm entries by clicking everything.
Winners and prizes
Ticket prizes are issued straight to your account as real tickets. Physical prizes are posted to you. Winners are emailed, and every draw is recorded so the result can be checked. Prizes over $2,000.00 require a completed W-9 for tax reporting.
