Outer Space

Outer Space Arcata is a 100% volunteer-run, all-ages arts and music center at 837 H St. in Arcata on Wiyot land, a DreamMaker Project of the Ink People Center for the Arts since 2015 that opened its doors in January 2017. It serves as an incubator for artists, writers, thinkers and youth, providing a safer, sober space for community building and education around social oppression through creative expression. Programming includes donation-based workshops and classes, live performances by local and touring artists, an in-house zine library, cooperatively run artisan gift shop and gallery space, with an emphasis on amplifying marginalized voices.
