Hammond Park is a 1.4-acre neighborhood park on one square block between 14th and 15th and E and F Streets in Eureka (commonly listed as 14th & E Streets / 1403 E St). Dedicated in 1948 after a $25,000 donation from Hammond Lumber Company, it was built with tennis courts and playground facilities and later a fieldhouse built by Eureka High School carpentry class. The park features two tennis courts, two basketball courts, a playground with assorted equipment, a T-ball practice backstop and open turf grass, plus a community garden that hosts volunteer days and Story Time at the Park events.
