Zeta Fusion

Fusion in the Forest is a two-day North Coast bellydance gathering (Oct 24–25) at 824 L St Suite 16 in Arcata, hosted by Zeta Fusion. It features dance and music workshops with Zoe Jakes, Pixie Fordtears, Rachel Noel/Sanders, Alia Gamal, and Arabic percussionist Faisal Zedan, covering Egyptian Baladi, West Coast fusion fundamentals, hip-hop fusion, darbuka rhythms, and somatic awareness. Saturday evening (7pm, doors 7:00, show 7:30) hosts the Rooted Showcase, a celebration of bellydance styles (Egyptian, ATS, Tribal Fusion, Turkish, Persian, folkloric, and contemporary fusion) with live music. Musicians can join open mic/jam sessions, and there is a vendor marketplace, light food and drink, and limited free parking.
