Redwood Raks Collective is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community cultural center at 824 L Street in Arcata's Creamery District (8th & L Streets, Old Creamery Building), with two studios (Jade and Bella) and the Mariposa Patio. Founded in 2008 as Redwood Raks World Dance Center and reorganized as a collective in 2019, its mission is to foster movement education and human connection through a diverse array of classes and events including salsa, swing, tango, samba, belly dance, West African dance and drumming, capoeira, folk dance, and kids' dance camps. The space hosts weekly classes, social dances, live-music parties, and festivals and is available for rental.
