The Flying Oms

TFO — The Flying Oms — is a Humboldt County vocal, string & horn duo featuring two world-class musicians: Jolianne Einem (vocals, violin & percussion) and Rob Diggins (vocals, violin, viola, trumpet/cornet & guitar). They perform 'a funky-chic, baroque boutique of elegant Topanga Chamber Music,' bringing more than 35 years of live performance, recording and touring experience (Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, Portland Baroque Orchestra, Musica Angelica, and more) into a rich, exciting bouquet of styles with a definite groove. Expect originals and arrangements spanning Celtic trad, indie pop, Renaissance dances, bebop and Hot Club jazz, klezmer, bluegrass/newgrass, Appalachian old-time, Latin jazz and more — hot twin fiddles, violin & viola, violin & trumpet/cornet, and violin/vocals/guitar combos.
