The Flying Oms

The Flying Oms is a Humboldt County-based vocal and string duo led by world-class violinists Rob Diggins (violin, viola, guitar, vocals) and Jolianne Einem (violin, vocals, percussion). Raised in Topanga Canyon in the 1960s, Diggins and Einem blend violins, viola, guitar and vocals across Celtic originals, Eastern European folk, Jazz Manouche, Klezmer, Appalachian fiddle, Gypsy, Baroque, Delta Blues and Indie String Pop with a laid-back, bohemian Topanga Canyon chamber-music sensibility. Based in Trinidad, CA, they perform extensively throughout Humboldt County at breweries, farmers markets, galleries and community venues, bridging classical structures with danceable, soulful improvisation.
