About this event
"This is body music, with its teeth filed to points," wrote Post-Punk.com of Spike Hellis. "Dark, forceful energy reminiscent of classic acts like A Split Second, Depeche Mode, and Thrill Kill Kult," said Synthpop Fanatic of Normal Bias. Spike Hellis is an L.A. based electronic duo formed on Halloween 2019 by Cortland Gibson and Elaine "Lainey" Chang, known for their dark, experimental industrial pop that blends 80s hip hop, techno, and EBM. Known for intense live shows, they have toured extensively with adjacent acts such as Front 242, Nitzer Ebb, ADULT. and Portrayal of Guilt. Normal Bias is an industrial body funk/electronic duo formed by Matt Weiner (of That Which Is Not Said/TWINS) and Chris Campion (of Multiple Man). Based between Atlanta and NYC, they create high-gloss EBM-tinged dance music with a pop sensibility, blending 80s synth tones with dark pop elements. With Red Room DJs Datura Prime, RatGirl, KreePeeO, and Zero One in the house all night, keeping the beat right.
