Spike Hellis

Spike Hellis is a Los Angeles-based electronic duo formed on October 31, 2019 by Cortland Gibson and Elaine "Lainey" Chang. Their dark, minimal body music draws on industrial, EBM, new beat and techno, built from abrasive drum machines, sampled textures and barked vocals. Their debut EP Crisis Talk arrived in 2020, followed by their self-titled album in 2022 and the 2026 full-length Successor, released via their own Over-Pop imprint. They have toured widely in North America and Europe, sharing stages with acts including Front 242, Nitzer Ebb, ADULT. and Kontravoid.
