Queen Karma

Queen Karma is an Arcata-based alternative rock trio formed spring 2022 after guitarist Bailey posted flyers seeking musicians — now led by vocalist/guitarist Alexus Roberts (22), bassist Alannah Guevara (31) and drummer Gavin Kingsley (22), who met through Cal Poly Humboldt and the local scene. The band was named after narrowing a list to two words left, with 'Queen' honoring Freddie Mercury/Queen as Roberts' top inspiration. Known for originals including 'Ace of Pentacles,' 'Summer in October,' 'Singing Daze' and 'Om' plus covers of Metric's 'Black Sheep' and Mazzy Star's 'Fade Into You,' they regularly play Humboldt venues including Outer Space Arcata, The Basement, Blondies, CCAT and festivals like HumGrown Music Festival and Porch Fest, and have performed for events like the No Kings protest.
