About this event
Presented by the Redwood Jazz Alliance. Guitarist Joel Harrison returns to the Arcata Playhouse with a band spanning avant-garde jazz, experimental rock, improvised music, and contemporary composition for a fresh envisioning of Miles Davis's quietly revolutionary electric-era masterpiece In a Silent Way, marking the legend's centennial year. The band reunites Harrison with Bay Area contemporaries bassoonist Paul Hanson, bassist Michael Manring, and drummer Scott Amendola.
