About this event
Join Redwood Parks Conservancy to help restore prairie land at Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park by pulling invasive non-native plants and encroaching vegetation. Meet at the Prairie Creek Visitor Center (park in the day-use area or along Newton B. Drury Scenic Parkway, not the visitor center lot). All events are free to the public and all ages welcome; minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Volunteers receive one free day-use pass to Sue-meg State Park. Pulling invasive species is a moderate off-trail activity, so wear sturdy shoes and bring loppers if you have them, a hat, work gloves, and water. The event runs about 3 hours.
