Grand Reopening

Humboldt County's oldest independently run bookstore (since 1965) rises from the ashes! Join owner Dante DiGenova and staff for Northtown Books' grand reopening party in its new space at 737 G St. Suite 1, just south of Cafe Brio off the Arcata Plaza on Friday, Sept. 18 from 4-9 p.m. (open until whenever). Nine and a half months after the Jan. 2 downtown Arcata fire destroyed the original H Street location, Northtown has relocated to the former Hatchet House/Pacific Outfitters building, sharing the 6,000 sq ft space with former neighbor Dandar's Boardgames and Books. No readings or ticketed events - just socializing and book browsing, then back to business as usual. Everybody welcome.
