Dune Restoration Work Days

Restore the biodiversity of the coastal dunes with the Dune Ecosystem Restoration Team (DERT), removing non-native, invasive plants to make room for native diversity. No experience is necessary; plant identification lessons, snacks and tools are provided. Bring water and wear layers and closed-toed shoes. Meet at the Ma-le'l Dunes NORTH parking lot (drive north past the gun club) a few minutes before 10 a.m. Workdays run every 3rd Sunday (Ma-le'l Dunes North) and every 2nd Saturday (Humboldt Coastal Nature Center) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
