About this event

"L.A.'s Dummy are purveyors of absolutely blissful drone-pop. The quartet's motorik rhythms and squealing guitars aim straight for the pleasure centers," wrote Post-Trash. Dummy fuse sweet 1960s pop hooks with a massive, dizzying wall of electronic drone and blistering guitar fuzz. They refuse to play by standard indie rock rules. Instead, Dummy treats their studio like a mad scientist's laboratory, constantly mashing together genres that should not work together, but somehow make you want to dance anyway. For Diles que no me maten, every note is a small step into the unknown. Their name, which translates to "Tell them not to kill me!", is a direct homage to the famous 1951 short story by Mexican author Juan Rulfo. Formed in 2017, their latest work reaches into literary mysticism, indigenous mythology, and transcendent, hypnotic sounds that critics describe as a profound spiritual journey. "Embodies the unsullied spirit of discovery," wrote Magnet.
