Dummy

Dummy is an experimental indie pop band from Los Angeles, California, formed in late 2018 out of the ashes of the Baltimore dream-pop group Wildhoney. The group pairs motorik rhythms and ambient synth textures with noisy guitars and sweetly sung melodies, drawing on 1990s UK noise pop, krautrock, and early electronic psychedelia. Their debut full-length, Mandatory Enjoyment, arrived in 2021 on Trouble in Mind and became a cult favorite, followed by Free Energy in 2024 and the Polyvinyl full-length do you love the color of the sky? in 2026. The band is now a five-piece with the addition of bassist Lance Umble.
