Daniel Nickerson is a Humboldt County Songster based in the Eel River Valley. Performing as the One-Man Boogie Band with guitar, keys and percussion, his sets mix Cowtown originals and jukebox oldies from a repertoire of 50+ originals and 250+ traditionals drawn from folk, country, jazz and rock, delivered with stories, poetry and humor in the spirit of Michael Hurley and Jonathan Richman. Also performs with psychedelic cumbia group Makenu, country-fried ska-boogie group The Cowtown Sound, and the Cowtown Puppet Players. Recent Humboldt listing: DJ Dan the One-Man-Boogie-Band at Redwood Curtain Brewing Company, Myrtletown (6-9pm) - 3 hours of Cowtown originals and oldies.
