Cowtown Sound

The Cowtown Sound is a five-piece Humboldt County ska-boogie / movement music band from Redcrest, associated with Cowtown Boogie Records, led by singer/songwriter/drummer Daniel Nickerson. Steeped in the arts and agriculture of Humboldt County, the group features unusual instrumentation including cello and singing saw and a cast of earthy puppet characters that appear during performances. Described as homebrew rural rock & roll, they serve up originals and oldies in a bouncing style and have played 300+ gigs around Humboldt at venues including Outer Space Arcata and Shanachie Pub Willits.
