Join Friends of the Arcata Marsh (FOAM) to celebrate California Biodiversity Week (Sept. 5-13). FOAM president and Certified California Naturalist Elliott Dabill — retired high school biology teacher and volunteer docent — will give a short talk followed by a special guided tour focusing on "Identifying eight common Arcata Marsh plant families." Part of FOAM's free Biodiversity Day series at the Arcata Marsh Interpretive Center; Sept. 9 event scheduled 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. per Times-Standard listing.
