Ballet Folklórico de Humboldt

Ballet Folklórico de Humboldt is a student-run club at Cal Poly Humboldt in Arcata, California, dedicated to the preservation and celebration of traditional Mexican dance. The ensemble rehearses and performs dances that draw on the regional diversity of Mexico, including Jalisco, Veracruz, Oaxaca, Michoacán, Nuevo León and Zacatecas. Directed by dance instructors Linda Maxwell and Jacqueline Silva, the group presents its annual Fiesta Folklórica at the John Van Duzer Theatre alongside Danza Azteca and guest ensembles such as the Eureka High School LatinX Club and Ballet Folklórico Infantil de Arcata. All are welcome regardless of background.
