The Shanty

The Shanty is a beloved dive bar in Old Town Eureka at 213 3rd St (open daily 12PM-2AM), known as the soul of Old Town and famous for its annual St. Patrick's Day celebration and colorful Dave Van Patten mural on its exterior. This casual, dog-friendly bar features two pool tables, beer pong, pinball, a jukebox, patio/outdoor seating and a stage for live music, with affordable beer, cider, gin and cocktails and food from an on-site trailer (hot dogs, burritos, fries). With its warm, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and nightly live music and sports viewing, it is a longtime local favorite.
