McKinleyville Shopping Center

McKinleyville Shopping Center is a neighborhood shopping center on Central Avenue between Hiller and Pickett Roads, anchored by Safeway along with local shops, restaurants, a pharmacy, post office and services. It is also a community gathering spot, hosting events such as the annual Halloween Costume Parade. Its landmark is the 160-foot World's Tallest Totem Pole, carved on site from a single redwood tree for the center's 1962 grand opening.
