The Mateel Community Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit cultural hub serving Southern Humboldt from its timber-framed, solar-designed hall at 59 Rusk Lane in Redway since 1988. It presents a year-round program of multicultural music, theater, dance, film, comedy, and arts education, and produces the internationally known Summer Arts & Music Festival and Reggae on the River. The 800-capacity hall with balcony, commercial kitchen and outdoor amphitheater hosts over 50,000 attendees annually for Mateel productions and community rentals.
