Gutswurrak Student Activities Center 225 - Kate Buchanan Room (KBR)

The Kate Buchanan Room (KBR) is the largest event space inside the Gutswurrak Student Activities Center (GSAC 225) — Cal Poly Humboldt's student union at 1 Harpst St in Arcata — named for former Humboldt State professor Kate Buchanan. The 4,200+ sq ft second-floor room holds up to 299 guests, is divisible into two spaces, and is equipped with built-in projectors, screens and sound for meetings, lectures, workshops, banquets, concerts, dances and ceremonies booked through Conference & Event Services. During academic terms it also serves as the campus commuter lounge, study space and student hangout with kitchen, lockers and lounges, while evenings host campus traditions, live music, club fairs, and community events.
