Clam Beach County Park

Clam Beach County Park is a Humboldt County-operated oceanfront park 7.5 miles north of Arcata off Highway 101 near McKinleyville, with direct beach access at the north end of the Hammond Trail adjacent to Little River State Beach. The park offers North and South parking lots, an ADA beach-access mat to the high-tide line, restrooms, picnic tables, and a 13-site first-come, first-served campground ($30/night, three-night max, no showers or reservations). It is popular for beachcombing, clam digging, horseback riding, wildlife viewing, hiking and biking on the California Coastal Trail.
