About this event
A new play about Cultural Fire produced by Sugarbush Hill Moving Lhatsik, a Dreammaker project of the Ink People led by Michelle Hernandez (Wiyot) and Zuzka Sabata. The play emphasizes the urgent need to embrace time-honored land stewardship practices that have supported ecological balance for millennia. It features local Native cast members, nationally acclaimed Native director Tara Moses (Seminole Nation of Oklahoma, Mvskoke), and traditional Wiyot stories told through shadow puppetry. Bring camping chairs, blankets and flashlights, and dress warmly.
