About this event
Celebrate National Wildlife Refuge Week with a walk on the wild side at the Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge. The Salmon Creek Unit temporarily opens public access to the area north of the Shorebird Loop Trail and around the outer levee, normally closed to the public. Visitors can walk a 3- or 4-mile loop or go out and back a shorter distance, with excellent birding opportunities and a chance to see areas actively managed for wildlife. Held Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Contact 707-733-5406 or denise_seeger@fws.gov for details.
