About this event
DJ Thornestar and The Outlaw Jamie B present Sanctuary Sundays, a free LGBTQIA+ community event and midday dance party at The Local Cider Bar in Arcata. Dress up or down in this judgment-free zone, with chill spaces for those who prefer to socialize rather than dance. The Local sells cider, beer and wine for 21+, plus a fancy soda bar for all ages. Tasty Thai-ger serves food for purchase, and local organizations and vendors will be tabling. Open to family, friends and allies of all ages (no unattended children). Held the third Sunday of each month, noon-4 p.m.; the Oct. 18 edition is a Halloween-themed gathering with costumes encouraged but not required.
