The Minutes

Redwood Curtain Theatre presents Tracy Letts' The Minutes — a dark comedy set entirely during a small-town city council meeting where newcomer Mr. Peel presses for missing minutes and a council member's absence. What begins as sharp satire of petty bureaucracy builds to a sinister revelation about the town's founding and how communities remember or conceal uncomfortable truths. Directed by Craig Benson. Runs Sept 17-Oct 10, 2026 at North Coast Repertory Theatre (5th & D Street Theater) with performances Fri/Sat 8pm and Sun 2pm plus Thu Oct 8 8pm; talk-back after show Fri Sept 25. Runtime ~2h15 with intermission. Contains racial stereotypes/slurs, violence, sexual harassment references, strobe/blackouts/fog — not recommended under high school age.
