The Elderberry Rust Stringband

The Elderberry Rust Stringband is a Humboldt County favorite that has been playing its own brand of "browngrass" — bluegrass that's taken a turn for the worse, in the best way — for more than ten years. Comprised of banjo, mandolin, dual guitars, bass, and fiddle (with occasional guest musicians), the band draws from a wide swath of the American Songbook, ranging from contemporary covers to ancient old-time tunes. Expect a foot-stompin' hoedown blending bluegrass, folk, blues, and Americana with plenty of Humboldt County charm.
