About this event
Join the Redwood Region Audubon Society on Thursday, October 15 for a free talk, 'The Best Birds in the World,' by Ram Papish. The island of New Guinea is home to some of the most flamboyant and flashy birds in the world, including Birds of Paradise, Bowerbirds, Pittas, and Paradise Kingfishers — but is it really paradise for birders? Ram Papish is a professional illustrator specializing in wildlife and history depictions whose interests include flowering shrubs, birdwatching, wildlife photography, community theater, and world travel. Doors open with drinks and goodies at 7:00 p.m., program begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Six Rivers Masonic Lodge, 251 Bayside Road, Arcata. Can also be viewed on Zoom — visit rras.org for the link.
