Sanctuary Day / I Block Party

Celebrate 40 years of community at the 40th Annual I Block Party / Sanctuary Day — a free, family-friendly block party benefiting Centro del Pueblo Movimiento Indígena Migrante. On Monday, Sept. 7, noon-6 p.m. on I Street between 10th & 11th St in front of Los Bagels in Arcata, enjoy live music, mariachi, folklórico dancers, DJs and local bands, plus regional Mexican food, craft microbrews, live art, face painting, Kids Zone, raffle, silent auction and community organizations. Proceeds support Centro del Pueblo's programs including the Redwood Region Legal Resource Center (CRLRR), youth leadership, cultural initiatives and family services. Admission is free and all ages welcome.
