Orchestra Gold + Makenu

Oakland-based African psychedelic rock band Orchestra Gold fuses traditional Malian music with gritty 1970s-style psych-rock, funk, and soul. The ensemble, making music for over a decade, is led by Malian vocalist/dancer Mariam Diakite and guitarist/arranger Erich Huffaker.
