Mdou Moctar

Mdou Moctar (born Mahamadou Souleymane in West Africa) is a prominent Tuareg guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He is recognized globally for transforming traditional desert blues into a high-energy form of modern psychedelic rock. Singing primarily in Tamasheq, his music combines blistering guitar work with lyrics focused on Tuareg identity, anticolonialism, and political justice. This is an intimate "evening with" Mdou, no opening act. A "Dark Discoteca" costume dance party follows afterwards.
