Experience the magic of the Lost Coast under the nearly full Sturgeon Moon on this guided hike to King Peak, the highest point in the King Range National Conservation Area (4,088 feet). Hosted by Friends of the Lost Coast and led by BLM King Range Manager Paul Sever. Begins with caravan from BLM office to Lightning Trailhead. Summit for sunset then descend beneath rising moon. Approximately 4.8-mile round-trip, nearly 2,000 feet elevation gain, strenuous for experienced hikers. Advance registration required, space limited. Email info@lostcoast.org.
