Humboldt County Planning Commission

The Humboldt County Planning Commission meets Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026 at 6 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Chambers, Humboldt County Courthouse, 825 Fifth Street, Eureka, and via Zoom. Agenda includes review of the September 3 action summary, a consent item for RPCA Solar 5 LLC conditional use permit extension & modification for a four-megawatt solar facility on agriculturally zoned parcels (APNs 313-091-019 & 020) with expanded footprint and reduced wetland setback, and public hearings on two coastal development permits for tree removal for fire protection in the Eureka area including protection of large redwoods and a proposal to remove eight redwoods at 5177 Woodland Way for fire safety/solar access/garden, plus countywide amendments to commercial cannabis indoor cultivation standards to allow indoor cultivation within newly constructed non-residential structures in AE, AG, FR and U zones.
