About this event
Help restore coastal dune habitat at Little River State Beach with Redwood Parks Conservancy and California State Parks. Volunteer to remove invasive non-native plants such as European beachgrass and yellow bush lupine (also listed as bush lupine) to improve habitat for native plants and wildlife, including the threatened western snowy plover. All events are free and all ages welcome (minors must be accompanied by parent/legal guardian). Moderate activity involving pulling invasives off-trail — wear sturdy shoes, hat, work gloves, water; bring loppers if you have them. Meet at the southern gravel parking lot at Little River State Beach on Clam Beach Drive. Volunteers receive one free day-use pass to Sue-meg State Park.
