The Fortuna Certified Farmers' Market runs Tuesdays, 3–6pm, May through the end of October (2026 season May 5–Oct 27). It features a variety of farms, ranches, nurseries and prepared food vendors, mostly from the Eel River Valley. All produce and plants are grown in Humboldt County and are GMO-free. Shoppers find fresh greens, garden starts, landscaping and edible plants, strawberries, tomatoes, squash, peppers from sweet bells to Scotch Bonnets, fresh-cut herbs and flowers, peaches, plums and blackberries in summer, then pumpkins, winter squash and locally cultivated heirloom apple varieties in fall, plus fruit, veggies, nuts, meat, fish, eggs, oysters and hot food. Live music is often featured. CalFresh EBT is accepted and a $15 Market Match is provided. Certified ADA service animals are welcome; pets are not allowed.
