About this event
Spend your Saturday exploring Southern Humboldt with Outdoor Adventures. We'll hike the Guthrie Creek Trail, a short but rewarding route that winds through coastal forest before descending to a quiet beach along the Lost Coast Headlands. The trail is about one mile each way, with a fairly steep descent to the beach and beautiful views along the way.
After our hike, we'll head to the historic Victorian town of Ferndale to explore local shops and enjoy the small-town atmosphere. Before heading back to campus, we'll stop at Jersey Scoops in Loleta for an ice cream treat.
Transportation and experienced guides are included. Please bring lunch, water, comfortable hiking shoes, and money if you'd like to purchase anything in Ferndale or at Jersey Scoops.
Thanks to the support of Associated Students, this program is free for Cal Poly Humboldt students. A $10 refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot and will be returned upon successful completion of the program. This deposit helps reduce last-minute cancellations and ensures opportunities remain available for students who want to participate.
