The commission reviews changes to the Eureka Woman's Club building at 1531 J Street. The plan includes replacing the old ADA ramp, adding a door opener, changing two windows on the south side, fixing a trash area slab, and replacing a worn fence. Staff says the work should not hurt the building's historic character because the new parts will match the old style and materials as much as possible, and since the project follows historic-preservation rules, staff recommends approving it and says it is exempt from CEQA environmental review.
