Dogbone

Dogbone is a Humboldt County-based feral jazz/rock band from Eureka, CA, built around original compositions by sculptor and guitarist John King. Core members Jon Claasen (percussion) and Tim Claasen (bass) have played together for over a decade in Humboldt bands including The Commotions and Mason Dixon, joined by horns/percussion players Greg Moore and Eliot Claasen. Playing without rules, the group is encouraged to experiment with unusual chords, rhythms and emotions, sending wild, unleashed soundwaves described as feral jazz/rock blending jazz, rock and surf influences.
