About this event
Compost Mountain Boys (Compost Mtn. Boys) have performed traditional bluegrass in Humboldt County since 1991, playing festivals, wineries, taprooms and community events. The band has appeared at California Bluegrass Association festivals and released two CDs — Compost Live (2000, recorded at the Redwood Coast Jazz Festival) and High on a Mountain (2010). Described as a blended 'compost' sound that has evolved with changing members while staying rooted in traditional bluegrass, the group remains a staple of the Humboldt live music scene.
