Camping On The Lost Coast

Cal Poly Humboldt Outdoor Adventures weekend trip to California's remote Lost Coast. Camp at Mattole Campground, explore the Mattole River & Beach area, paddleboard at the mouth of the Mattole River, and hike the six-mile round-trip trail to the historic Punta Gorda Lighthouse. Known for dramatic coastal scenery, black sand beaches, and powerful surf, the Lost Coast offers a wild, quiet backcountry experience. Transportation from campus (Library Circle), all necessary camping/paddling equipment, and breakfast & dinner provided. Mandatory pre-trip meeting Tuesday 3/17, 5:00-7:00pm in RWC 124. Max 10 participants.
