Big 8

Big 8 is a Humboldt County roots band playing greasy New Orleans R&B, Memphis soul, vintage country, blues-rock and jazz. An offshoot of Jenni & David and the Sweet Soul Band, the group is built around drummer/vocalist Paul DeMark, bassist Justin Brown, slide guitarist/vocalist Jeff Landen and guitarist/vocalist Robert Franklin, with Doug Marcum also sitting in. They are a fixture at North Coast venues such as the Basement, the Wild Hare, the Logger and Kaptain's Quarters, and have performed at the Buddy Brown Blues Festival.
