About this event
The Arcata Plaza Farmers' Market is the largest certified farmers' market of the North Coast Growers' Association, held every Saturday year-round, rain or shine on all four sides of the Arcata Plaza. Hosting over 70 local farmers and makers at peak season (originating as the Community Producers Market in 1978, on the Plaza since the mid-1980s), it features Humboldt-County-grown GMO-free produce, plants, meats, baked goods and other local products, plus a center food court (added 2004), seasonal eating guides, and live music every Saturday. Families picnic on the grass with hula hoopers, tai-chi and occasional produce tastings, salsa contests and other events. Full plaza street closure Saturdays 6AM-3:30PM. Hours: April-November 9am-2pm, December-March 10am-2pm.
