Violet Crabtree

Violet Crabtree is a mixed media artist and filmmaker based in coastal northern California (Humboldt County). Her work spans costumes, comic books, storytelling, performance, painting, sculpture and handmade stop motion/claymation. Her first feature film Wildfur is a 70+ minute eco-feminist stop motion hybrid about Finnea Wildfur, a Sasquatch defending her forest from villain Bill Ding, developed over 6.5 years and nearly a decade from concept to premiere.
