Ukexperience

Ukesperience is a ukulele-driven rock and folk band from Humboldt County, California, formed in 2006 and based out of Eureka. The group blends island vibes, country blues and rock into a tropical-tinged sound built around concert, tenor, lapsteel and bass ukuleles, several of them custom-made by bassist Tim Johnston. Led by frontman Joe Koches, the band earned an endorsement from Pono 'Ukuleles of Wahiawa, Hawaii, and was the only mainland act invited to the 2008 Waikoloa Ukulele Festival on the Big Island. After a decade-long hiatus, the group returned to Humboldt stages with both old favorites and new material.
